#Workshop on Cultural studies by  Dr. Kalyani Vallath #

Hello readers!

This blog on Workshop on Cultural studies by Kalyani Vallath from Karala she has been done her PhD from Canada and also Diractor of Vallaths TES and work at Freelance Teacher site as well as successful Eduprenuer.as a study party of our syllabus and UGC NET, G-SlAT it's a very fruitful for us. It's organized at 27th December at our Department of English, Maharajakrishn kumarsinhji university,Bhavnagar.

As a part of our life, culture. We must know how is culture of me and my society only by this we can understand and interact with other culture as well. Here in this workshop session it's fruitful to understand how can we see our as well as other cultural, of course Kalyani ma'am is very passionate and energetic throughout whole Session, I like her teaching style is quite different and alive.

Cultural studies about us and our relations emerge from Marxism.  It's an Interdisciplinary study, how culture relates to the larger society. nothing is all about money, something is that behind it, which is superior than money. India is the best place to talk about culture studies because there are so many communities and diversity so, definitely we see different kind of culture is one India country.

If someone is asked me in interview to introduce abot cultural studies in briefly than my answer would be that as culture play a huge in human like, as in the earth Nature play a  role. Every human beings definitely connected with culture

  •  One of the example during the session was so catchy for me, that I will never forget is that she gave one of her own experience when traveling abroad and in flight air hostess asked for food and gave manu of Asian, Korean, American, etc she instantly said to Asian food because in her mind one thought is going on that in Asian food only Indian food especially Kerala's food, but in real there is no existence of Indian food so, she ordered Singapore food ( fish- rice) she was very hungry so she started to eating immediately but when it's  goes on in her mouth, what she feel gave her experience by full of expression. And through this experience she convey how culture is different.
  • Thank you.......

Shashitharoor's An Era of Darkness

# Sahitya Akademi Winner 2019: shashitharoor's An Era of Darkness

Hello Readers!

Here is my blog on Shashitharoor's work An Era of Darkness as a task given by Dr. Dilip Barad sir as thinking activity. So, let's start...

Shashi  Tharoor is an Indian politician, written and former career international diplomat, who currently served as Member of Parliament. But apart from this he was also writer especially for Indian situation on British raj.

His famous works:
 #An Era Of Darkness,
 # why I Am a Indian,
 # the great english novel,
 # the glorious empire.

 # An Era of Darkness:

This is a gripping tale of the devastating administration, business and loot of Britishers in India for 200 years. This is a perfect amalgamation of ' Why they should not have done that!' We have seen and heard many narratives of history but here, shashi tharoor went way ahead  of a mere narration. It is a very assertive effort of presenting the collective facts taken by the British aristocrats to make it even worse. Albeit, it is a constructive read.

Approaches to death in literature

# The approaches to death in literature :

Hello Readers!

Here is my blog as part of thinking activity on the approaches to the death in literature given by Heena ma'am as a part of our subject, which we have  studied,Romantic literature, I hope you are get interest in this discussion, so let's start.

As we know that generally people don't want to talk about death, because they consider death as dreadful and frightening as well as painful.

But,in literature it's totally opposite, because writer considers "death" is totally different from normal human beings, he was fascinated toward death, for example John keats, the romantic writer, who wrote poems like "ode to Nightingale" He writes 'half in love with' and also want to dei at midnight with 'easeful' death.

Darkling I listen; and, for many a time
I have been half in love with easeful Death,
Call'd him soft names in many a mused rhyme,
         To take into the air my quiet breath;
Now more than ever seems it rich to die,
To cease upon the midnight with no pain,
While thou art pouring forth thy soul abroad
                        In such an ecstasy!
Still wouldst thou sing, and I have ears in vain—
To thy high requiem become a sod.

# The other writer and their approaches toward death:

  John Donne

       "Death be not pound"

Here, we can find out writer's approaches toward death is totally differ because here Donne considered death as slave and nothing more than small sleep, he write this poem addressing the death as a person. And said that death is slave of four things fate, chance, king and disparate. And also said that we gate eternally after small sleep. And also said to death that not need to be poud instead of frightening like normal human beings.

Here William Butler Yeats, gave his opinion on death as one of the most important part and need of life not as dreadful or painful but beyond that something is there which everyone is need.

 thank you........

Indian Poetics

# Indian poetics :Prof. Vinod Joshi's expert lectures:

Hello Readers !

Recently, on 3rd December to 9th , famous Gujarati poet or prof. vinod Joshi's expert lectures on Indian Poetic organized at our Department of English,it's a time of very fruitful and interesting for us.

Indian criticism is different from Western criticism because Western criticism emphasis on function & result while Indian criticism emphasis on process.

Before he discuss on Indian poetic he gave some basic (rooted) information on Language, How it's work on human mind and it's a tool , through which we can express our emotions and feeling, and also going on some background information on imagination as well.

In Indian literature there are many mimansak (criticis) like Bharatmuni, Abhinavgupta, Vaman, Jagannath, etc all are well contributer in Indian poetics as well.
"Natyashashtra" Grantha by Bharatmuni and it's tradition considers the Natyashashtra as an additional veda, so important has it been in the history of Indian Literary thought. The Natyashashtra is a compendium of performed arts:drama, music, dance. Bharata has been the maker of  the rasa theory.

The eight rhetorical sentiments (Rasas) recognised in drama and dramatic representation are named as follows:the Erotic, comic, Pathetic, furious, Heroic, Terrible, Odious, Marvellous.

The abiding mental conditions(Sthayibhava) are mentioned as follows : Love, laugher, sorrow, anger, energy, fear, disgust and astonishment.

The four styles in which dramatic representation, is established are: Bharatiyon Or verbal; sattvati or Grand, Kaisiki or Graceful; and Arabhati or Energetic. The success of dramatic representation is twofold:heavenly and human.

The rhetorical sentiments, No literary import can ever proceed without rhetorical sentiment and aesthetic relish. Now, Rasas arise from a proper combination of the stimulants (vibhaag), the physical consequents (anubhava), and the transient emotional states ( Vyabhicari bhava).

Hello readers!
Here, is my intend to write this blog is to as a task of thinking activity,Listen talks by chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and gave response to these brief talks as below. ..

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie born on 15 september 1977) is a Nigerian novelist, writer of short stories, and nonfiction. She has written the novels like,

In 2008, Adichie was awarded a MacArthur Genius Grant. She was described in The Times Literary Supplement as " The most prominent" Of a "Procession of critically acclaimed young anglophone authors, who is succeeding in attracting a new generation of readers to African literature".

Talk on  importance of story/Literature
In this talk - Novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie tells the story of how she found her authentic cultural voice-and warns that if we hear only a single story about another person or country  we risk a critical misunderstanding.

1. The Danger of Single Story :

2. We Should All be Feminist :

3. Importance of Truth in Post-truth Era :

My thinking activity would be my response to these brief talks on......

- whether you liked or disliked the views?
-why you liked or disliked?
-which views you like or disliked?
- Has these views helped in better understanding of literature and life?

I like the views of chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is that, she said that her characters are white, playing in snow and eat an Apple and the ginger beer in her writing, when she was an age of seven, but she says that she never test ginger beer and no need to talk about weather as well as her people are the chocolate colour and suffering a lot because of poverty and deases like aids there is no treatment facilities, so she is in the favour of African real situation how they are faced and their people's nature is different from Western culture or background as well.
Yes, these views has helped in better understanding of literature and life. Through this three videos we can have better understanding of African people and the Chimamanda's views on feminism and feminist perspectives involved with her childhood also, which all can help us to better understanding of literature and life.

Thank you..... .

Verbal analysis of the poem

#Verbal analysis of the poem on the bases of the essay'Figurative Language'

Hello Readers !

Here, is my blog on the verbal analysis of the poem, whith keep in mind the kind of misunderstanding discussed in the essay ' Figurative Language' by I. A. Richards.

I. A. Richards : Figurative Language

Ivor Armstrong Richards pioneer in the domain of New criticism.
His path breaking works:

  • The Meaning of Meaning-1923
  • The Principles of Literary criticism-1924
  • The Practice Criticism-1929
He was staunch advocate of a close textual and verbal study & analysis of a work of art.

Four types of misunderstanding:
  • Misunderstanding of the sense of poetry:careless, intuitive, reading (rhyme, or irregular syntax)
  • Over -literal reading-prosaic reading
  • Defective scholarship
  • Difference in meaning of words in poetry and prose.
Here, I would like to mention one poetry titled

As a I. A. Richard mentioned two types of languages like scientific language and emotive language, so in scientific language we find that the matter of Truth and Facts, and in emotive language we can find emotional things. So in this poem we can find out that there is lack of scientific truth or facts like "आवाज की दीवार ","गली उंघ रही थी","नया चांद पडा हांफ" etc ,which is in real can not do this.

Frankenstein

# Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

Hello readers !
I am the student of English language and literature, here intends to write this blog as task given by Dr. Heenaba zala, professor of English department to answer the all questions of worksheet of Frankenstein. So let's discuss.

Frankenstein; or the Modern Prometheus is a novel written by English author Mary Shelley (1797-1851) that tells the story of victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who creates a hideous sapient creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment.

# Mary Shelley's Frankenstein v/s Kenneth Branagh's movie Frankenstein:

Pre-viewing tasks:

  •  Gothic science fiction, also known as space goth, is a subgenre fiction that involves gothic conventions. By  definition we can connect and considered this novel as the gothic science fiction because it's also reflects the dark atmosphere of gothic fiction while also incorporating elements  of science fiction.
  •  This novel narrated by Volter which is reading by his sister Seville. Volter narrated the story by telling his crew members in ship.
  • When we discussed about the different view point of character, than we can said that volter Frankenstein  has totally different view points towards some facts of human being.
  • The subtitle of the novel "The Modern Prometheus" Is signified a lot it's suggests about revolutionary changes in the modern world.

While viewing the movie:

  • The beginning of the novel in stormy atmosphere like North Pole and than volter tell the story of victer Frankenstein and his creation of monster, and the end of the novel in same context of North Pole  victer Frankenstein's funral by the monster and the end of both.
  • Yes, I feel horror effect in the movie because the creation of human by human is the very horrible because of victer collect various body parts from various place( body) and through this he created human by sneeching body which looks horrible.

  •  According to my view points about the character monster is that positive, because he was ugly looking outside like monster but he has good human feeling and emotions.
Post-viewing task:

  • The difference between Mary Shelley's novel and Kenneth Branagh's moive is that, but I can't find because of I have not fully reading of the novel Frankenstein.
  • Yes, the movie helps to understand the different view points of characters like the aim of victer Frankenstein to creation of monster and the monster's view points also suggests a lot.
  • The creation of lady monster is for the re-alive  his beloved Elizabeth and she was also victim of these and do a suicide also.

Mathew Arnold's view points on characteristics of good poetry and criticism

 # Literary criticism

Mathew Arnold's view points on characteristic of good poetry and criticism :

Hello readers !

Here, I would like to write this blog as a task given by  Dr. Dilip Barad , head of the english department to write ' your understanding' on Mathew Arnold's view points on characteristics of good poetry and criticism so, here I would like to write according to my understanding.

Mathew Arnold

Mathew Arnold was an English poet and cultural critic, was 'the first modern critic' being a champion not only of great poetry, but of literary criticism itself. The purpose of literary criticism, in his view, was 'to know the best that is known and thought in the world.

Mathew Arnold's views on characteristics of good poetry:

"Poetry is the criticism of life, governed by the laws of poetic truth and poetic beuty"

Arnold's views on good poetry as the superior character of truth and seriousness, in the matter and substance of the best poetry, is inseparable from the superiority of diction and movement marking its style and manner with reference his essay The Study of poetry.

Truly calls poetry as ' the breath and finer spirit of all knowledge'; poetry'the impassioned expression which is in the countenance of all science'

Mathew Arnold's view points on criticism:

Arnold's insistence on the standards and his concern over the relation between poetry and life make him one of the great modern critics.

Arnold's method of criticism is comparative. Steeped in classical poetry, and thoroughly acquainted with continental literature.

Arnold's objective approach to criticism and his view that historical and biological study are unnecessary was very influential on the new criticism. His emphasis on the importance of tradition also influenced For. R. Leavis  and The. S. Eliot.

Mathew Arnold's touchstone method:

In the study of poetry, the touchstone method he also condemns the French critic Vitet. Arnold's view is that this poem  should be using knowledge that is created current and fresh and free thoughts.

In short, we can said that Mathew Arnold gives a great contribute on English literature by giving his opinion and view points on good poetry and criticism as well as Touch stonemethod.

My opinion on Nature

# My opinion on " Nature "#

Nature itself suggest very much, even we can not define it wholly, our whole life is based on Nature, even our body is made of five nature elements, water, air, soil, and fire. Our planet Earth is called paradise only because of Nature.

As above mention quote " NATURE IS THE ART OF GOD" Is truly according to me, because of The Beauty and variety of nature is boundless, even people struct by the wonder of its beauty.

# what is nature for me?

Nature for me is everything, because  whenever I free I would like to enjoy with nature by glance and observing of nature, because it's works for me like , how we are feeling freshness after meditation.

As above mention quote, I really agree with it that Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. Nature gaves a unique pleasure if we look deep into nature with certain manner.

# what is nature for writer?

Nature for writer is different from normal human being because of his view and perspective is totally different that leads him to write something about the wonder of nature.

One of the best example of poet is William Wordsworth ,  who is best known for his nature poem " Daffodils ".

# Wonder of Nature :

The wonder of nature is boundless, even in 21th century the age of science and technology can't find some facts of nature which is still consider as mysterious and and unsolved and make us wonder about it.

The characteristics of the Neo classical age

Assignment

Name : Dhara virani
Course: M. A. English
Semester : 1
Batch: 2019-2020
Roll No. : 06
Submitted to: smt S. B. Gardi Department of English
Paper No. :Indian writing in English
Topic: Raja Ray’s contribution in Indian Renaissance.

The Indian Renaissance
The term ‘Renaissance’ is generally accepted as the term New birth or reawakening, and reopen. Renaissance, which started in Italy in 16th century. Signified the birth of Modern England, similarly Renaissance began in early phrases of 19th century resulted in the birth of Modern India.

'Indian Renaissance is a new birth in India the  awakening of mind, soul or physical of Nation after a long and short sparn sleep, it is the galvanizing into creative activity of the door much like if the national spirit'
It is a spiritual artistic literary and social reformation. It was also the social period during which English education is spread.
Raja Rammohan Roy as The Father of Indian Renaissance
In Indian Renaissance Raja Ram Mohan Roy play a great role, even we can say, “The Father of Indian Renaissance.”

He was the Educationalist and the  messenger of  modern education at the time of British era in India. He was also the scholar of Sanskrit to read veda's in deep.
Brief introduction of Raja Ram
Raja Ram Mohan Roy was born on May 22,1772 in Rad Bengal. He is well known for his efforts to abolish the evil practices of sati.
The founder of Brahmo samaj
Raja Ram Mohan Roy founded Brahmo samaj in Culcutta on 1829. He was tirelessly fought against the social evils prevailing in the Indian society.
Brahmo samaj stood against the twin pillar of human reasons and vedas and Upnishad, thus he wanted to restore Hinduism to the position of ancient glory with no social evils, and he was also supported widow remarriage and woman education. It is also based on  some adaption from Christian practices in its worship and also some influences of Islam. Success to programs of social reform. All over  Raja Ram Mohan Roy’s involvement areas are from Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, polytheism, Religious syncretism. Where as Roy want to reform Hinduism from within, his successor, Debendranarh Tagore . Later on this is lead by Keshab chandrer Sen seceded and organized the Brahmo samaj of India in 1866 this older group became a new goup as the Adi an original Brahmo Samaj. This new branch truly became eclectic and cosmopolitan and it's influence became more valuable on struggle for social reform.
So, whole this discussion we can said that  Raja Rammohan Roy is the really play a great part on the Reformation of the social practices and the to bring the Renaissance in India also.
As a great social reformer

Raja Rao is the great social reformer, his journey of reform the social practices is origin from his, when his elder brother’s death his wife, Roy's bhabhi has force to became a Sati, at time saw the situation of his bhabhi and try to prevent them but not succeed in that, and at that time he decided to he must be abolished this sati practices in from this society, there where many women, who want to live her life even for her child but still she has to be by force became sati. It's very crucial act for widow, so  by the Raja Rao’s hard efforts it’s became possible to abolished of sati pratha in 1829,by declaring it an offence. That’s the main aspect and first gold sun shine in our Indian Renaissance.
The  awakening has borne fruit, negatively in reforms like the abolition of sati, widow remarriage, the Harijans, etc.
Raja Ram Mohan Roy's works on Indian English writing
Raja Ram Mohan Roy was the master on the language, he can be wrote and spoke in fluency on English as well as  French and Sanskrit. He has deep reading on vedas and Upnishada as well as Geeta.
He  wrote on  the contemporary situation in his works, form of Novel, Drama, journals etc.
Raja Ram Mohan Roy, who did much pioneering work in Bengali prose and wrote the journal sqmbqd, kttumudi.
By eliminating from it all questionable practices and principles;he declared that he had found
“The doctrines of Christ more conducive to moral principles, and better adapted for the use of rational beings” than any other that had come to his knowledge. Ram Mohan  was a sincere soul social injustices angered him to the pitch of frenzy.
Journalism:
Roy published journals in English, Hindi, persian and Bengali. His most popular journal was the sambad Kaumudi. It covered issues like freedom of press, separation of the executive and judiciary etc. He remains the greatest social reformer, scholar and educationalist, India has ever seen.
“ The superstitious practices which deform the religion have nothing to do with the pure spirit of its dictates”
                                 -Raja Ram Mohan Roy
Needs of Raja Ram's thoughts in present time in India :

As we know that Raja Ram was played great role to make our society better and abolished social evils, which became the barrier for our society as a dangerous disease for society like sati pratha, sunk the new born baby girl into milk, some heavy and useless rules for widows which makes her life meaningless and no interest in her life by these types of rules, these all social evils abolished by him. In short he makes our society better as a social reform.
So, we can said that still we needs Raja ram’s thought to apply in somehow and somewhere to solve and bring our society free from remaining social evils, because still there are many social evils are alive and continue to damage and became as a barrier for society to be blossomed  our lives openly in society. There are many social issues in Hindu and Muslim religion, Caste system and many other issues, now a days there is one more rules and we can say that right for the Muslim women is that they can get divorce but not rejected by his husband by saying trippal talaq. So , no doubt we have abolished my social evils, but somewhere somehow some social evils like in some village still have caste system and untouchability ex. The Lawyer class people have not allowed to walk with his sandal even they can’t ride their vehicles when they entered into the village, and with dalit's caste still not fair behaviour, some untouchability issue is still there, so we have to needs some Raja Ram Mohan Roy thought to abolished that.

Paradise lost by John Milton
Milton play a great lore to make our literature famous. He was the great puritan writer. He was English poet, pamphleteer, and historian and also considered as most significant literary figure of English literature. The one should noticeable thing is his blindness. He is famous  for his great epic poem, Paradise lost. His another works is,
“Camus”
“Paradise Lost”
“Areopagitica”
“Samson Agonistes”
“Lycidas”
“ll Perseroso”
A new man and new principle had arisen in England, one of them is Milton, the man of thought.
Paradise Lost:
Paradise Lost  is written by great puritan writer John Milton. The epic poem Paradise Lost divided  into 12 book. This idea originally came from holy Bible. There is different story from Bible. John Milton rewrite the story as a human perspective while The Bible is from Devine perspective.
God,
Adam & Eve,
Satan.
In this Milton’s paradise lost  the character Adam and Eve is not quite muted character as in the Bible, they have also some argues, especially the character Eve is seems to be more rational and alive character in the Milton’s paradise Lost.
Character study:

God :
In this epic poem we can see the God as the ruler of Heaven and the universe. He create the world and the creature as well as human being like him, Adam and Eve. He knows everything thing, but he doesn’t very relatable and have emotions like the other character and his announcement often cold and harsh.
Satan:
Satan, as a rebellion to argue that,  God’s newly created race of humans as Eve and Adam, even we can recognized him as the antagonist of this story.
Adam:
Adam, represents as an innocent and true lover, is created by God’s rib. He has also human emotions.
Eve:
The character of Eve only represent lively and rational character. She is more intellectual than Adam, she ate an apple only for knowledge to know what is right and what is wrong. She is always curious to know.
So, let’s discuss in detail about the character Eve as the representation of woman.

Eve as the representation of the women
Literature has always played and continues to play, an important in the gender studies what has been called “gender ideology”, about the social  order through the representation of women, we can also find out the root difference between men and women.
Through this epic poem ,Paradise Lost  the character of Eve as employing gender as a category of historical and literary analysis , we can apply underlying construction of femininity, how conflicting GLAE representation of Eve in chapter-2. A numbers of scene of this work represent Eve as a feminized image of sin while other scenes, is contrasting, subtly present her  as the model of Orthodox and righteousness, with the connection of gender formation.
Creation of “Man” and “Woman” according to Bible
In the Bible we can know that the creation of “Man” and “woman” by the God, Firstly is told briefly in Genesis 1:27: God “create a man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” But it also said and define further that “woman” named because she came from man's worm, by this we can see that man and woman is not equal but woman represent as inferior than man, infect this is rationally totally wrong because the scientifically and physically man is came from woman’s worm, but we can see here mentality of society, when the Bible was created though this sentence as woman's value in society.

Eve’s treated as a woman in paradise Lost

Here I would like to present some original sentence  from paradise lost, which shows the woman should be use for that types of work,
In woman than to study household good, And good works in her husband to promote, yet not so strictly hath our Lord imposed Labour as to debar us when we need Refreshment, whether food or talk.

The very starting of the work we can read  that, she is created from Adam's rib as his helpmeet, through this we can know that the aim of the creation of women for helpmeet, nothing else, and also shows that she is inferior than Adam, not even equal, so mentality is somehow still in human mind, mentality towards women is not equal but down.
Eve as the curious, that’s represents women desire

In this work, Eve is more curious and intellectual than Adam, when Satan in the serpent form tried to tempted her, she doesn’t accept directly, but in order to know the knowledge of what is right and what is wrong like God, she ate it. She also want to became superior than Adam. Through this we can see that Eve is curious woman and also like freedom for every thing ,even she considered God as imperfect by the maker wise, if he can not let’s live the life as happy state or free to live. She says that

“Let us not then suspect our happy state
Left so imperfect by the Maker Wise
As not secure to single or combined.
Frail is our happiness, if this be so.”

Though this we can define the character Eve as a raise her voice for Freedom, even against God, this represent the power of woman as well as her desire to live a life free.
In this epic poem, paradise lost, we can see that Eve's forbidden of God’s rule by eating the Apple, which is denied by God. When she knew that , that Apple tree is tree of knowledge and which by eating we can be knowledgeable to what is right and what is wrong like God. She is curious to know, by this what is the wrong. We can considered the character Eve's desire or freedom as the woman. There are many woman which is even in present time victim of this Orthodox types of  thing, woman, who is always want to know every thing and have many desires but people considered as a forbidden.

Eve and the Identity of women

In the Paradise Lost much of the story of Adam and Eve can be considered as nonetheless perceived as containing fundamental, and largely negative, “truth” about the nature of women.

For the last two thousand years or so, Eve has represented the fundamental character and identity of all women. Through Eve's words and actions, the true nature of women was revealed; her story tells men what women are really like. By this we should have question that, is this effect beneficial for society or not?

Eve represents everything about a woman a man should guard against. By this we may have raise the question, is women not capable to guard herself?, why make the women weak by this type of bias to guard by man? In present time women are rapped by man, than how can we accept the man is guard the women.
Eve represents in both form and symbol, Eve is woman, and because of her, the prevalent belief in the West has been that all women are by nature disobedient, seductive, guileless, weak-willed, prone to temptation and evil, disloyal, deceitful, untrustworthy, and motivated in their thoughts and behaviour purely by self-interest.

No matter what women might achieve in the world, the message of Genesis warns men not to trust them, and women not to trust themselves or each other. By this we can says that, is it true? What, man is always right or faithful or women is not? That’s not
not rational or reasonable for social construction, or for women. If we continue in than further discussion like, whoever she might be and whatever her accomplishments, no woman can escape being identified with Eve, or being identified as her, by this we can say that that’s not rational if one woman done mistake is done by all Woman. It is not true at all and irrational thought.

In the West, the story of Eve has served over the centuries as the principal document in support of measures and laws to curtail and limit the actions, rights, and status of women. The Pseudo-St. Paul, for example, in his pastoral Epistle to St. Timothy, could cite Genesis as the reason why women should not be allowed to teach or to tell a man  what to do:

For I do not allow woman to teach, or to
Exercise authority over men; but she is to
Keep silent. For Adam was formed first,
Then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.
(1 Timothy 2:12-14)

Conclusion:

In short, whole this discussion we can say that the Paradise Lost as an epic poem is about the Eve, because poem based on her disobedient and the identified as the woman.
